Well, here's my last painting of 2014. If I could raise it up in the air and toast you for a year full of painting in 2015 I would... I am hoping that each one of you will have a wonderful 2015 - full of God's Blessings, full of family, friends, health, peace, life and art. I hope and pray that 2015 will lead me down a road where I become a much better artist. I'm constantly reminded of my short comings in my paintings and I know that there is much improvement needed - but you can only do the work to the best of your current ability and grace and reach forward to doing better on the next one... Well, I know this one is a little late, it's not that I was slacking today - honest. I actually had one done way earlier today, but took some photo's of it, and felt a paper towel with some turpentine on it was a much better option for it than this blog. So, with my other duties as a husband and father mixed in, I ended up doing an evening painting - and here it is:

Well, in honor of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I took Christmas off. But I have a new one for today. It's entitled "Almost There" and shows that moment when you're racing time and almost there. Speaking of which, we're almost to the end of the year, it seems like 2014 flew by. It's always this coming week that my wife and I take to thinking on what we're going to set our hopes and faith on this coming year. That will of course determine our goals, and eventually our futures. I hope everyone begins to think of the new year, not in resolutions, but in possibilities.

I remember this day quite well, our entire area had just gotten a huge soaking that morning and the rodeo was that evening. My daughter and I were just spectators but, boy did we leave covered in mud (nothing like up close and personal at a rodeo). Most of the events that night were decided by whether or not the animals could stay on their feet or not.
