Riding, 5x7, oil, signed original, sean conrad artist, miniature, western, $75.00

Well, here's my last painting of 2014. If I could raise it up in the air and toast you for a year full of painting in 2015 I would... I am hoping that each one of you will have a wonderful 2015 - full of God's Blessings, full of family, friends, health, peace, life and art. I hope and pray that 2015 will lead me down a road where I become a much better artist. I'm constantly reminded of my short comings in my paintings and I know that there is much improvement needed - but you can only do the work to the best of your current ability and grace and reach forward to doing better on the next one... Happy New Year!

Lookin' on the Land, 4x5, signed, original, sean conrad Western, $45.00

Well, I know this one is a little late, it's not that I was slacking today - honest. I actually had one done way earlier today, but took some photo's of it, and felt a paper towel with some turpentine on it was a much better option for it than this blog. So, with my other duties as a husband and father mixed in, I ended up doing an evening painting - and here it is:

"Almost There" 6x8, oil on canvas, original, sean conrad, unframed

Well, in honor of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I took Christmas off. But I have a new one for today. It's entitled "Almost There" and shows that moment when you're racing time and almost there. Speaking of which, we're almost to the end of the year, it seems like 2014 flew by. It's always this coming week that my wife and I take to thinking on what we're going to set our hopes and faith on this coming year. That will of course determine our goals, and eventually our futures. I hope everyone begins to think of the new year, not in resolutions, but in possibilities.

The bidding for this painting starts at $75.00 -
Thank You for taking the time to look. Have a Blessed Day!

"Flinging Mud", 5x7, Oil on Canvas, $75.00, signed, original, unframed

I remember this day quite well, our entire area had just gotten a huge soaking that morning and the rodeo was that evening. My daughter and I were just spectators but, boy did we leave covered in mud (nothing like up close and personal at a rodeo). Most of the events that night were decided by whether or not the animals could stay on their feet or not.

Well, here's my fourth painting. I love natural contrasts in nature - like this white horse against the landscape or black cows against the prairie. Named this one "Ghost" because he reminded me of Casper.

Well, here's my day three painting. Looking at the weather report this morning, it looks like we might be getting a white Christmas. I hope so - and I hope everyone else out there has an opportunity to as well. I know how special it can be when you don't normally have snow. Have a Blessed Sunday!

"Winter Whites", 5x7, oil on canvas, $75.00

Well, I'm giving myself a daily painting challenge over the next 30 days. I do normally paint M - F but this challenge is to complete a small painting in addition to whatever larger I'm working on.

Who am I? I'm a Texas artist who now lives in Iowa - but I still love the Old West and that's what I'm passionate about painting - the Cowboy life - old and new (and yes, there are cowboys in Iowa too). So, here's my first painting - and the E-bay link to bid on it in auction. If you're interested, bidding will start at $75.00
