Well, I know I'm 4 days behind on my daily painting... but with good excuse, my family and I made a last minute decision to go down to a show I was included in at Abend Gallery, in downtown Denver. So on Friday, we all loaded in my wife's jeep and off we went. Got to see some old friends and also some family as well. It was a lightening fast trip though basically two days of driving and one day of work. I did however manage to make it to my old stompin' grounds shoot some late afternoon photos... so while I'm feeling the mood, I painted a little snow today. I know it's not cowboy related, but I love painting snow scenes. So, here it is and have a Blessed Day!

Well, here's my 15th painting. This one I switched over to my regular linen that I paint on. I had been using some prestretched canvas' and just wasn't happy with the surface quality of those. These last two paintings have been more enjoyable for me to paint. My larger work will be in Abend Gallery's - "Old Traditions/New Frontiers" Show opening Friday night in Denver. Well, winter has really set in here now - we have a week full of temps in the negatives at night and single digits during the day. Glad there's a fireplace in my studio area. This 6x8 painting was inspired by the many beautiful sunsets I see throughout the southwest - NM, CO, WY and UT - and a summer sunset sounds really nice right now!
